I was born in 1962 in Saint John's Hospital in Santa Monica, California. My life turned aquatic at an early age, seeing as skateboarding and surfing destroyed my spine early on. After returning from Mexican Pipeline in Puerto Escondido Mexico with almost a seperated hip I found myself in a huge hole and only luck and tenacity aided me to have a normal life, have a business, and raise my children. Writing poetry and short fiction kept me sane. What helped me to stay strong was the sport of freediving. If you can get in the water with your speargun at Point Dume, Westward's Beach and swim to Paradise Cove you have reached a true level of aquatic motivation that only a few athletes will reach. During the nineties I travelled to Italy and learned enough Italian that I was hired by Marinella Loddo at the Italian Trade Commission in Century City to work in many trade fairs. Working with Flying M Films and Ranch Exit Media and other production companies in the 1990s helped me to grasp the importance of documenting with film and video the things I saw underwater. And finally, not until I went to work at Antique Designs Inc. with my dad did I realize that I had a great capacity for leading a team and getting the job done right the first time around. After 22 million dollars of high end furniture delivered, I decided it was time to honor the sacrifice my wife made in coming to my country. I went to Brazil for 4 years, from 2009 to 2014. Now, retired in Florida I am writing more poetry than ever and trying to give back to this great country which has given me so much. The hernias in my discs make it hard but if you pray for answers and live your life well, God will teach you how to manage your problems. How to get by without everything bundling down the drain.
